Invertible functions on nonarchimedean symmetric spaces
Time:13:30 p.m., December 9, 2022 / Place:M310

I will discuss a construction due to Gekeler and van der Put which associates to an invertible holomorphic function on the Drinfeld symmetric space an integer valued harmonic 1-cochain on the Bruhat-Tits building. This construction plays an important role in the study of Drinfeld modular forms, especially in the study of modular units.

Title : Invertible functions on nonarchimedean symmetric spaces
Abstract: I will discuss a construction due to Gekeler and van der Put which associates to an invertible holomorphic function on the Drinfeld symmetric space
an integer valued harmonic 1-cochain on the Bruhat-Tits building. This construction plays an important role in the study of Drinfeld modular forms, especially in the study of modular units.
