Kazdan-Warner problem on a
compact Riemann surface

Kazdan-Warner problem (1974) says that, under what kind of conditions on the prescribed function $h$, the equation $\Delta u=8\pi-8\pi he^u$ on a compact Riemann surface has a solution. When $h$ is positive, Ding-Jost-Li-Wang (1997) derived a sufficient condition for this problem. Recently, we find that Ding-Jost-Li-Wang condition is still sufficient when $h$ is positive somewhere. In this talk, we want to share this fact.
