Moduli spaces are a central research topic in algebraic geometry. In this talk, I will introduce the concept of a coarse moduli space using the analogy of a library. We will then see how the Global Torelli theorem helps us to explicitly construct the moduli spaces of polarised K3 surfaces and abelian varieties. The talk will conclude with the Kuga-Satake construction, which establishes a connection between two specific families of moduli spaces.
